He left another intake manifold for my car so I'm going to see about getting it ported and polished and then cutting the carb spacer to match and seeing what that will do. If it doesn't help any I'll just go back to the one that came on the car.

The best thing you can do is just port match. The ports on your intake are smaller than the carb spacer. Just open them up to match the spacer.

Do some research on the project first! There are many do's and don'ts and you don't want to blow it.

I'm going to port an intake soon, so I'm in the process of researching and getting a new die grinder

Heh, I left the carb there because I never use the Nikki As far as I am concerned you can have it I have the original setup from my 7. I am going to build a serious race engine out of this 12A, a BP or maybe even a PP side housing will be in the works..... So the Nikki wont cut it But yeah as soon as I get my 7 out of storage and properly insured I would be up for a meet if we can get a bunch of guys going.

And dont think of it so much as generosity, more like I got to much random crap in my garage that I never use!!! lol, If I were you I would take that carb and get in touch with Sterling, from what I hear he can work wonders with those Nikki's

I think Sterling and Carl only work with the SA 79 and 80 intakes... don't quote me on that though. They don't have any of their porting info on their sites.

Well like I said when I get a 7, once I get the cash, I upgrade the carb and intake. I have come to like Webers, and Mikunis the best. However, I havent used Dellorto. And I think that they would be just as good.

First thing I did was upgrade the carb! There wasn't a carb on there. To quote Peejay when he and I went to go check it over "Holy ****! You weren't kidding there were carb problems."

$350 and a brand new Sterling carb later it fires right up!
