Dayton, Ohio Area Members?
Dayton, Ohio Area Members?
Are there many? I know of one and myself. If there are any from the Montgomery County area and even into Warren and Green County I want to get all of us together for some kind of meet or something. I don't know if there is a Dayton Area/Miami Valley group but I'd love to be in it, start one(hence the sig), or help someone with one. I may be new to my RX-7 but I'm pumped about it.
Let me know!

There arent a whole bunch, I started a thread similiar to this a few days ago.
Try www.ohiorotaries.com
There is also a cincy club, but nothing local to us.

Well I just sold the idea of buying an RX-7 to a friend who has $6800 to spend on a car. He's another person. I think something local to us would be just plain cool.
I've seen 7's rolling around Dayton and some of those people if they knew there was a group here for them would probably jump on the chance to be in it.
It'd work like any car club with meets, mod sessions, swaps, shows, etc.
Even if there are three of four of us that's still three or four people working together on the cars and going to shows and hanging out and showing what these cars can do compared to other cars and clubs.

BTW I am going to find the cheapest RX-7 I can for that friend in the area and convince him to dump at least $5k into it.
He said he would. I was telling him how easy HP is to gain on these things and how easy it seems a lot of the mods are. He's pumped.

i'll have to take a rain check. i have drill with the national guard that day until the 24th of june. perhaps when i get back i can invite you guys out my way and i'll provide some food. i had a meet last year with a poor turnout but we did dissassemble a 12A in my gagage and fix jon bartel's carb with parts i had.

Well I'm on vacation from the 4th through the 11th so I'm up for anything.
I want for us Daytonians and surrounding city folks to have decals so people recognize who and what we are. Sure there might only be a few people here in this city but three or four can make a name for a car and club when those three or four take every ricer Honda, Neon and Saturn out.
I'm converting some people too.
Since there is all ready a Ohio club and a Cincy club I don't want to make conflicting groups or have people in 8 different groups with like 4 decals so really if you're from the Dayton area let me know and we can figure something out.

I know for a fact that these cars are powerful and from what my friend told me today it's true mine is a beast. Only two barrels on my carb are active right now. My friend reved the other two barrels with his hand today and from the added power the car was shaking and got a whole lot louder and more powerful sounding. I can't wait to get everything tuned right cause it sounds like there is more power than what I originally thought it had.
Hah. Yea, okay. We'll have a meet that week. I'll make a thread for it so we can all set a date that works best.
And yea I'm gone. I'm hooked all ready.
I see how quick they are and think they should be better known and more respected and tuned. Around here everyone drops $2k into an old Honda or $12k into a new one and then $5k into asthetic/exterior mods with nothing under the hood. That's pathetic considering my car can walk all of them through every gear and I spent $500 for it and about $350 getting it running the way it should.
That says we need to make our cars known so people will start talking and giving respect to true power and original styling. Not the ricerboi plastic and neons tech these days.
Also find any spare parts and what not. I think it should be a shoot the ****/swap meet... maybe even a demo meet. I know a few roads and parking lots we can hit up to show our stuff.
