I checked the bulbs, changed the bad ones, none of the print board is messed up, i cleaned off the rust on the screws that have rust on it and such. The connectors were all clean and I just don't know what elce could be wrong. ne help would be awsome thanks!

Bingo. If the dimmer switch rotates more than 180 degrees, that usually means it's been over rotated and the fine wires inside are broken. I have 3 of them like that.

try bypassing the dimmer switch, if you connect two wires that look like they go together under the shift boot you instantly blow the dimmer switch. I still don't have one in my car, its kinda ghetto just a hole with 2 wires spliced together...

Wow this is an old thread, but I just had this issue(thanks for the search button, lol).....Can I leave the wires spliced together permanently and put the cover back over them(cover for cosmetics) so the lights work when supposed to, or could this hurt something(don't know what, but just want to make sure). The only drawback is I can't dim them right? I don't care if I can't dim, I just want to see my gauges.

Check the three fuseable links under the hood next to the driverside strut tower. That was my problem when my lights went out.

Might be somebody hooked up your AT wires, that's what happened to me.

Yes, you can leave them hooked up. Unfortunately, without the dimmer, they are either full bright or off.
