Man, originaly I just wanted to get the car to a Mint stock condition. Now I'm contemplating a turbo, suspension package, exhaust, etc., etc.!!!! How did this happen!?!? You guys are such bad influences!!

Pretty soon you will start stalking and cataloging where other rx-7 owners live and work... How often they drive thier 7... Soon you will follow them 20 miles out of your way just to chat at a gas station.... Or leave "rx-7 club knows about you" notes on thier winshelds...
Soon you will be "ONE OF US, ONE OF US, ONE OF US!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!"

I love my little 7. It's nice because all the things I have done to her just keep making her better. That and you dont have a $25,000 loan to pay off on top of buying performance parts that will void your warrentee. A fellow co-worker bought some turbo volkswagon GTI dropped 9k in making it faster, then could'nt race me cause his engine light would always come on. He probably would have won will never know. He totalled it. But if you can work on your own car, you can make a really nice decently fast ride for little $$. Welcome to the club

For an inanimate object, my RX-7 sure is pretty high up on my list of importance.

I've NEVER worked on a car. At least not any major work. Alternator, starter, oil changes, and such are no problem though. I think I might just approach it the same way I did with computers, just open the case and figure it out as you go.
EEK, I might even become one those guys that buys another 7 just to get "practice" before working on "real" 7!! It seems to me that the "practice" cars here end up being just as good as the "real" ones though!!
BTW, do you guys do alot of bartering? For example, my family owns a company that does stamped and colored concrete floors, and interior stain floors. I could make some Houstonian's wife extreamly happy if they where willing to trade their mechanical RX7 expertise for an interior floor. Go look at www.bomanite.com and see what I'm talking about.
Now...I just found fifty cents in my pocket...what can I buy for my 7...ahh, a antennae ball!!!
