Talking Custom Clear Taillights

Here is a pic of my custom clears. Talk about a long *** and annoying job, jeez!! Anyhoo, if you want more info just ask, I did everything right this time and the right way took a couple days on my free time...and it sucked...but I am happy with the results. I put in some 1156 orange for the turn sigs and 1157 red glass for the tail lights.

I like them myself. Had been planning on doing the same myself, once I get back from Korea. Now the thing is, if there was just something that could be done with the black center piece, then it would be go to go.

first things first..... you did a wicked job with the lights..... that definitely deserves respect!! I was thinking about doing something similar as soon as I has some time. I did take mine apart once before all these tail light ideas came about and just cleaned everything up and painted the inside chrome color where it was black to have a brighter effect. But you did a wick job man!!

Just one thing, don't take any offence to this at all but on the spoiler just cut the pedistles on an angle, just to level it, and just re-attach it. that spoiler it's bad at all on that car if it would be mounted deferently..... just my opinion... REMEMBER no OFFENCE!!

Yes, Rowan County....in Morehead, KY I attend MSU and have been for a few years now. Cool to know there is an RX7 fan close by, we should meet up sometime man And as far as the funny guy that asked how many HP it added, I like you, you got a sense of humor.....the answer is, about two more blonde girls per cubic inch of me! LOL

And the spoiler, I already know this, it's not facing the wrong way, it's just angled for a BMW M3 truck, even though it is a universal from Erebuni. It's the 646 style wing and is made that way, I'm gunna shave off the legs, and get my friend up here at the machine shop to make some custom aluminium legs just like the ones you pay 200.00 more to have as an option on most spoilers today. And I'll have the adjustability and the cool look of aluminium Well guys, if you need any more pics I can give em, I also have the side markers clear and I painted the insides crome to reflect the light 50% better than before. I have aqua blue bulbs in them right now, but purple on the way to match my purple neon liscense plate frame. The women here at school love this car, as do the guys. And I have had countless dates just from it. I am the only one in this town that has one, and especially one with right at 200hp under the hood Those dual webers are insane, can't hardly leave a stop sign without sliding around.

If anyone wants a set, I know a guy thats rebuilding them as we speak, and hes got the whole setup for a 12A minus the high flow fuel pump...it's worth the time and money

Well peep, your eyes must be twitchy, both have the same stock lens cover with the red reflective square and the ribs in the cover.
So it is the stock cover, unless you made a copy of that, which would be a bit wierd. I just stated it would look better with UN-ribbed flat clear plastic with no red reflective square.
now shut it......

Yes Hick, it is true

The dyno in Lexington was exactly; 198.9HP at the flywheel with 154.8 at the wheels. All this getting 185ft lb's torque. It's easily felt through the seat of the pants too. Thats not a normal stock ported 12A, it's got no clutch fan, MSD 6A system, RAm air intake with air box, headers straight back to the RB muffler with no restrictions in between (i.e. no cats or any presilencers to inhibit HP flow). The total without the carbs was dynoed at 155hp at the engine, and after 198.9....no flaming over this,.....if you guys do, it'll just show that you're a bunch of inbred immature idiots, thanks

Sounds like what alot of people on here have, including me. How come everybody else seems to make, at the most, 150hp at the flywheel? Yet you're telling me you were getting 155hp with the stock nikki? Hmm, wow, that must be a pretty special Nikki... I'd let Yaw know about that... he might just be interested in that lol. And you gained 43.9 horspower by running a different carb? on the same ports? LOL! Man, who needs a 13B twin turbo w/255hp when you can get 200 from a carb and headers on a 12A? Hey, maybe with a little mild porting you'll hit 250! . Keep dreaming brotha.
