Also....as you can see in the bottom pic(the red power wire), I have subs I want to incorporate into the project. I also have an extra amp and a pair of 6x9s lying around I would like to add as well!
Thanks guys!

I like that, but I like the idea of not getting more than one person at a time asking to bumb a ride.(Since I'm stuck in the whole High School scene still). thanks for the idea tho. nice ride....

i dont see whats so awful about the hatch area. i personally like the storage bins and the amount of stuff they hold is wonderful!!!! i always carry a tool set back there, some rags, oil, a shop manual, and hand cleaner. you could undercoat the hatch area and the floor while you have that stuff out. it would deaden some of the road noise and prevent some rusting. i believe in making things better than the way i found them or just leaving them alone if there's nothing wrong with something in the first place.

Yeah, i love my bins! I wouldnt take them out for anything. And furthermore, seats may be JDM and all, but like the pic above, nobody but a child or midget will be able to fit back there, plus isnt the weight limit for our cars like 300lbs or something? The thought that is running through my head is that chevy aveo commercial when 4 NBA players jump in that thing, lol

Caution! ******** approaching!
The cheap plastic bin lids are broken or missing in 90% of cars and aren't even available anymore. It was a shittily-designed part. When they're gone, two big empty holes in the middle of nowhere looks more like **** than some big speakers.
If he wants to put something else in, why is it slaughtering his car? Improving it is more like it! Just cause you like the stock look doesn't mean everybody does. I presume you think my car is a slaughtered POS too?
Build something for your subs and post pics! Just please don't half-*** it, or I'll look like an idiot defending you...

But in the future I want to make a metal enclosure to give a little more sturdiness and room to those bins. (Battery Relocation and similar ideas for one of the bins)
I just think that if you're not really going to put a back seat in the car and you don't really have a big thing that really needs the room; just fix the bins up! They make a great place to hide tools and crap in case your seven blows up or something and you need to fix it on the road.
Just my .02 cents adjusted for todays inflation.
PS- Definietly a nice use of the extra room! But you can always go bigger than that!

Not bad! Hope your subs don't get ripped off sitting out in the open like that though... Wouldn't be the first. The 6x9's on the lids work well. I had built my own panels since mine never came with lids. Was running 4 Eclipse 4-way 6x9s. They worked ok,but some distortion with the bass. (I didn't run a sub).
Now I put a 12 in a box hidden under the bins, but I got new carpet that wasn't cut for storage bins. Nobody even knows its there! The box is too small for the sub I have, but when I can afford it, I'm going to buy one of those slim 12s that can work with less than a cubic foot of box. It's LOUD.
And I'm thinking battery relocation for the other one...we'll see.

Yeah I was dissapointed when I saw the amp had the little screw in tabs for the power wire, ground and remote wire. O, well what can you do?
I'll keep an eye on them!
thanks for the comments...
