OK i have a idea take some oak luan and make a custom enclosure for speakers and a bin if done nicely it will look custom nice sanding and lacquer and a good stain will make your hatch look nice you can also use the metal bins for supports for the custom enclosure use some dyna matt in the bins and it will be a great place to put a 10inch sub in the middle and on the sides make you some more bins for small stuff. use the pressure switchs and lights in there to have lighting for the bins and
make sure its done nicly so it doesnt look GEEEETHOOOO i think everyone can find a buddy in the wood working area >.or do it your self just make sure its sweeeeet

I added a 10" sub in the storage bin behind the driver seat and left the bin behind the passenger functional. I don't have and pics of it after being re-carpeted, but maybe this will give you an idea. I think it turned out pretty well and it makes some racket.

I also made custom enclosures in the hatch area where the jack used to be to hold some 6x9s.

If he wants to put something else in, why is it slaughtering his car? Improving it is more like it! Just cause you like the stock look doesn't mean everybody does. I presume you think my car is a slaughtered POS too?

Build something for your subs and post pics! Just please don't half-*** it, or I'll look like an idiot defending you...
Truly it is my opinion, take it or leave it. And that being said i dont remember my opinion including name calling.

Plus correct me if i am wrong but didnt he put the bins back in

One of the first sub installs I had in my old 7 was a simple 10" bazooka tube stuffed in the bin behind the drivers side. Sounded great...and was"stealth"

I did the same with a Bazooka 8" and I am happy as hell too!
The shape of the rear hatch really expands the bass to feel and sound muuuch larger.

I agree Directfreak, i have a 8" Kicker Solobaric in the spare tire well and it sounds like a LOT more, that hatch glass makes some serious bottom end in our cars.

And

WAS:12A, i always wondered what the inside of the mariah hatch looked llike, cool, thanks!

Yeah i had to have the JBL 12" tube as i couldn't fit any big sub in the hatch area as i didn't wanna vibrate the **** out of the mariah hatch.

Plus I wanted to be able to store the removable sunroof in the hatch area as well.

yeah. He didn't put them back in at all!

Seriously, less T.V. More reading.

Name-calling, no. But you insulted his car. Waaaaay worse.

He was asking what he SHOULD do with his hatch area! He wasn't done fixing at the time you told him he was slaughtering his car.

Did you actually read anything in this thread or just glance at the pictures and start talking?

Let me lay some facts out for you Rotaryboy:

You called me an *******

He asked what to do with the hatch area and he asked for opinions, i gave mine.

He DID put the bins back in, pictures dont lie.

He wanted to make something out of "plywood" to replace the bins, yes plywood, do i have to eloborate? Would have looked like crap and moreover sounded like crap. Everyone knows you make speaker enclosures out of MDF, not plywood. Thus slaughtering that poor RX-7.

Get your facts straight before you post or GTFO noob

Exclamation Stopppppp!!!

Both of you need to stop. I've made my changes 2 the car.

mikewoodkozar I have already reported you for your unwanted replies. Noone joined this site to listen to guys like you rant about how u think you are better than everyone else!

I would apperciate it if you would just leave it alone. It doesnt matter.

And I have seen encloususres made of PLY-WOOD then wrapped in fiber-glass. so watch one episode oF Unique Whips and you will find yourself not as smart as you think you are, just a smart-***. And they are not installing 8s or 10's like ur baby system!

And the fact that I'm a miner makes me smile b/c if I ever saw your car on the street I would want to kick the losers *** who was driving it(you) and know that nothing could happen to me.

I have done alot of custom stuff to my car and I like it very much!!!

Have a great day!

If you're gonna cry and freak out; then i will leave.

Also, next time you ask for someone's opinions dont be surprised if you dont like some of them.

Furthermore, this is a web forum, i can speak what i please, dont expect this to be the last time you get flamed by someone on a forum, lol. It happens to everyone eventually... Some more than others.

And on a side note, cruise over to fiberglassforums.com and see how many of the professionals over there use plywood.

In mike's defense, all he said was to stop slaugthering the car. I cannot see how it can be construed as an unwanted reply. This is the internet and you will get people who will agree and disagree with someone's "mods". Calling him an *******, however, is not a mature move and really didn't call for it. If he was being an *******, he would've been calling you names for doing such things to your car, which he didn't. He just made one comment and that was it. Don't get bent out of shape because one person said something you didn't like.

Obviously you didnt read the whole forum then, b/c he didnt say one nice thing to anyone, nor did he do any help to me.

Just b/c I put the bins back in, doesn't mean I did it b/c he told me to. I did it b/c I realized how much it would cost to do a custon hatch and I knew I couldnt afford it.

So him being and ******* to not only me, but to the other guys on this forum(who were actually trying to help) is what pissed me off.

And if you look I didnt say anything to him about him after he teld to me stop slaughtoring my car, it was way after.

And I find it pathetic to see grown men like you guys arguing like high school kids! I mean come on....

I normally wouldn't say anything, but this was well said and I agree.

Obviously you assume too much. I did read the entire thread before posting. What I saw and what you saw must've been completely different. He only said one thing to you once and that was to stop mutiliating your 7. That's it. He did not ream into you at all. He just gave his opinion. You obviously only interpret things how YOU see fit. Quit getting your panties all up in a wad and let it go.

First he said to stop slaughtering your car. Then he said he wouldn't take his bins out, he loves them. Rotaryboy is what started the whole fight by going after Mike.

Here are the exact posts made by him.

i have an idea...

Put your bins back in, stop slaughtering your car
Seats or bins ftmfw

Yeah, i love my bins! I wouldnt take them out for anything. And furthermore, seats may be JDM and all, but like the pic above, nobody but a child or midget will be able to fit back there, plus isnt the weight limit for our cars like 300lbs or something? The thought that is running through my head is that chevy aveo commercial when 4 NBA players jump in that thing, lol
Then Rotaryboy calls him an *******.

Truly it is my opinion, take it or leave it. And that being said i dont remember my opinion including name calling.

Plus correct me if i am wrong but didnt he put the bins back in

Next time, why don't YOU learn how to read the thread properly? Now, grow up and let it go.
