Custom 1st gen decals.....
ok,
i have a good friend who just so happends to work for a window tint place that also dose vinyl decals owned by his brother. he has agreed to let me play with there computer that can cut the vinyl.
so i had a thought(brace your self there rare) are you guys down from some decals for our cars? i rember there was some one on here that had a 1st gen and a rotor background.
we can ban together and make a nice decal to suport rx7club as well as the first gen 7's.
im not in to make any money on this. i will get a price from my friend for the size, color and quanity, if we get a desent amount i will front the money for some. and will just get them to you guys for the price he gives me + the cost of an envelope and stamp. i figure share the love right.
what do you guys think? im going to see if i can come up with some thing on my own but ideas, sujestions are oh so very welcome.

I'm also working on getting the IMSA/GTU and LeMans24 hr stickers recreated. I'll update everyone once I have results. Still waiting on the mail for the LeMans24 sticker.

Just an update. This project has not died yet. I received the LeMans24 hr sticker in the mail and found someone that can reproduce it for a very good price. He will most likely be doing the IMSA/GTU sticker as well. The only thing he thinks he may not be able to do is make the stickers so they stick on the inside of the glass like the originals. He is going to check out his equipment to see if he can or not. Otherwise the stickers will either be the kind that stick on the outside or they can be magnetic.
When I get a finished product and pricing I will post again.

Performance decals always make you faster. See, the vinyl is a lot smoother surface than most paint jobs, allowing the air to pass over without near as much friction, hence, more speed. Hell, why do you think nascar's so full of stickers?

I'm still working on finding a capable and willing supplier to make a run of the IMSA/GTU and LeMans24 stickers. I have an original LeMans sticker still on the backing on loan from a member in FL. Seems that it was actually silkscreened. Finding a supplier that is capable of recreating the sticker without destroying it (remember, it is on loan) has been a real chore. Also, since I do not have an IMSA/GTU sticker except for the one already on my rear triangle glass, I have to have a supplier have their artisit recreate it from a high resolution photo. The other thing I keep running into is most capable shops don't want to touch it because of copyright issues
