Cruise control cable hookup
Cruise control cable hookup
Hello all. I just rehabbed a cruise control actuator for my 1985 RX7 FB GSL SE 890350 and it appears to be correct. I do not know how this unit's cable mounts to the throttle body. Does anyone have a picture of one in situ on a FB? I don't have brackets present nor is a cam on the other end of the throttle shaft. I need a visual for the mount of the bracketing for the cable end. I can post a picture of what is there, its mounted. Just need a home for the cable end.

This is a photo from Bring-A-Trailer showing the CC hookup.
BAT is a good source to find photos of original items on these cars.

Got it. Thanks. Great pics. I got it installed. I ran the vacuum line to the second from the bottom nipple on the front of the resonant chamber. Diagrams show this being used by a check valve which terminates that vacuum line. Can anyone explain what that is for? On my car...pisses me off, I got it this way, that line had a line looped to the bottom nipple, also, the line which runs under the intake manifold was plugged mechanically. Isn't this the air bleed line into the intake? What was the effect of deleting the check valve and plugging the air bleed? Intentional tuning? Anyhow, I reinstalled the line running under the manifold to the lower nipple per diagrams, and used the second lowest as a vacuum source, was cruise supposed to source someplace else?
