I was told by someone knowledgeable about JL woofers that their newer stuff isn't as good as their older stuff. Appearantly a w6 is bettetr than a w3 or w1. I'm like uh, ok. I have two 8w6 that I got in '96 so I'm not very conerned at the moment. I'd like to get some 10s or 12s eventually. What are your thoughts?

Yeah,

I remember hearing something about the series being better and these are the BEST you can buy in the lower class series at the moment in my opinion, I've heard the rest and these have just the right amount of bass and punch.

If you can find these, definitely ****** them up, they aren't even on eBay yet!

I have never liked JL, They were much to "loose" for my taste.

If you want that sub to last long, use an amp before you clip the hell out of the sub.

ha, never fails, i dont believe that, the only JL that i think is decent as for reliability is the w7 subs wich they are expensive and needs a 1K watts + rms amp to run. other than that they blows. you like JL well good i hope it doesnt fails for ya. pioneer premier subs will kick JL ash anytime and they are cheaper that JL

Well, you can't stick the subs with twice the amount of power they were rated for, they won't last like that...
