CROOKED rearend?!

has anyone had this problem? i was looking at the rear of my GSLSE the other day and noticed that the right rear sticks out more that the left side. The left side is flush with the quarter panel, but the right side isnt. Yes.. all my wheels have the same offset. im not that dumb. i looked under the car to look for any damage but i couldnt find anything. Can it be a bad watts linkage? bent link? oh, and ive never crashed the car

since our rear is a solid rear axle, a thrust is just when the rear of the axle isnt straight with the front

You lowered the car, therefore You will need to make the watts links adjustable to get the rear axle back in place.

By having someone making them adjustable for you, the stock watts links aren't adjustable.
How much did you lower the car?

the lower the car is the further right the rear axle will be pushed, as the watts link runs at an angle between the chassis and the axle, so if you change height, it will sit differently...

Im gonna post a pic of what made my cars rear have one wheel sticking out more on the right than the left. Here is the part that you should look into this one shows how twisted it was

This was what my prob was not sure if it's the same for you but it's worth checking it it shouldnt have any bend like mine did. I changed mine & then it went back into place the mechanic kept saying that that wasn't the prob but i made him change it he saw the bend & said hey you know your car huh swapped the bent one for a straight one 7 now i have my rear where it should be

check for bent bars and check the watts link like above and the pin it bolts to on the rear end.

Buddy noticed some odd movement and found that the Pin was bent.

I've never seen an FB go crooked from lower it years back in NYC the cut spring fever hit & i had friends who's fb's practically touched the manholes & the rears didnt look crooked the camber on the front wheels looked like crap but the rear looked the same. You def have to check the watts linkage i had a broken bar on my first one & it had the same prob & this last one had the linkage bracket bent like i posted in the pic's on page 1. Hope thats the prob cause that easy to fix by just changing the bracket. Also did this happen when you changed it or was it always like that maybe one of the linkage arms are bent or cracked & flex when the car is on the ground. Anyways hope you can resolve it easily. or you'll just have to go with the racingbeat lowering springs which meet your cars spec's

Watts VS Panhard

Hades has the most likely problem pinpointed. Bent linkage.
A panhard rod would do the offset with lowering. A Watts link is designed to allow the axle to move only straight up and down. Unless something is bent. Check the frame attaching points for the watts link to see if something has come loose or if rust has eaten away support.

hold on there dude.

there is one other thing you have to consider, remember that the stock location for the axle is always slightly off-center from the factory.

this is to negate the effect of the crown in the road.

if it is perfectly centered the car will try to veer into the ditch.

the rear axles on many solid axle cars are offset by approximalty 3-5 millimeters this causes the car to conteract the crown (high point in road) if you remove it, it will only track straight on a perfectly flat road....

sorry for the typos, I have jet lag...
