amen, i'm one of few that got some Snypers, and i rather like them, and dont wanna switch over to some other bullshits cause i dont have the money for that.

however, i want better brakes, lucklily for me, i have the capacity to make those parts as i have a lathe and a mill (i just need a part to copy from) at the moment, i have no money to even replace my front tires (stupid alignment destroyed my pass. side tire).

*sigh*

get us installed pics bouis

sheesh... going through their site... makes me sick....

I cant believe they are raping fellow first gen owners of their cash....

makes me have some ideas to help out....

Too bad I really dont give a flip about the first gen suspension... seems like all the geometry is wrong...

I really want to do a second gen front subframe... but... Maybe I should just stick with what is designed for this car and improve the hell out of it.... since i have poly bushings, springs, kyb's ect.......... Ill get serious in two months...

BTW stock 79/80's have kyb struts.... nice and strong too...

Good luck with the brakes!

Thanks, Andrew....

*bump*

i just want to ask if you finished it yet and how does it look. i plan to do this during my time between semesters. i too already have a set of vert wheels and 4 pistons waiting to be strapped on the fb. for me i estimated all the parts (wheels from junkyard and hubs from a guy for $50) for me to be all around around $500? (thats including the cp brake kit)

im looking forward to the progress u made with the car.

I had bought KYB's for my 81 when i worked @ NOPI and the fronts kept blowing out all the oil. they would replace them but it was a PITA. I finally got tired and went KONI Adjustables...WAY WAY BETTER
and yea I hate to see a company/people rob people. But i do understand it cost $$ to R&D and then the parts cost but what they ship out and the cost is a total ripoff. This is kinda why i haven gone full speed on the sleepy eye headlight kits.... MY COST on the lights alone is 360$ plus shipping, then I have the price of the wiring, relays and the metal "light buckets" So the price of just the parts is up there, and I havent made 1 cent in my pocket at this point. and It took me lots and lots of nights and weekends working with the linkage to get it all working right. So i do understand them charging a bit more...but 350$ for a hand full of parts is B.S.
The larger issue with cp is there totally slack *** shipping, even when its not a rx7 part... look them up on ebay they are slow as **** ... I'd be so pissed if i ordered from them

Hey, you stole my idea.

That's what I am doing to mine right now, along with a 5 lug rear.

Angry I dont see anyone else making stuff! GET OVER IT!!!!

I dont understand all the CP bashing. Business is NOT a big happy family, no one is trying to rip anyone off. Just because 1st gen owners think that they are all part of some "off their rocker" family tree does not mean they should call CP all this F#ckin BS. GET THE *** OVER YOURSELVES. Oh ya, you go and R&D all these products knowing full well you are going to only sell maybe a few hundred parts and then see where all the profit goes.
I just get sick of looking at the 1st site only to see a bunch of cry babies that should try doing it themselves.
GOOD LUCK.................HA!

Why you ask? When you call up and order a light kit and he, (chris) says it is on the shelf, and will arrive in two weeks, then, 8 lies later and 3.5 months, I get the kit....... ???? ? It is not about shipping, IT IS NOT ABOUT THE SHIPPING TO CLEAR THINGS UP! It is about the lies, lies, lies...... Anyone, who continues to blame it on his shipping, is very confused. GET A GRIP! He takes you;re money, and plays withit till he gets pinched enough by you to get off his lazy *** and make the damned item., My light kit was cut with Sheet Metal cutters, shittiy drill holes, ect ect....... Now, go out and get laid!

i would be happy to pay money for a good drawing/tracing of these componets.

I'd like to pirate the expensive R&D, and make some of these kits myself. IF this were to go through, I'd sell them for what they are really worth.
