That hub cap reminds of the old "moon" hub caps of the 50's!

Great looking car, and I was wondering about the carb hat as well. Also the hub picture is pretty damn cool as well.

yes, we were the only mazdas there. 1 FB (mine), 1 FC, and 3 FDs. the rest were all classics. and yes, our cars grabbed most of the crowds attention! the moon hubs were on that corvair parked next to me (lucky photo opportunity). as for the carb hat, its a K&N hat. not sure exactly what it was made for though.

well all holley's double barrels have the same size to put a air cleaner on, so guess i just gotta find a K&N for holleys... however most K&N's ive seen dont look anything like that. i even checked all through my summit catalog

Would like some close ups of that carb hat, removed if possible.

i'll get with the builder of the car this week and get the info for that hat. seems to be a hot item! as for teh pics, as soon as i unpack and charge my camera, i'll get them for ya. also, just did my first hack job in photoshop. what do you think about this shade (also tinted the windows)? maybe a black euro style stripe down the driver side (in line with the mazda emblem)?

uhh nice car!, damn. specially for the upper '48!

man if you can ever find a part # for that carb hat, that would be awesome since it fits almost like stock, but works on a holley!

love your car! give it to me
