never really thought of it when we use to look at yours, cant picture it. looks like i am buying it though. shouldnt be to hard to find weight. should go good with the bridge port. you'll need the camdon to keep up.

Yes, you need the 84/85 counterweight. The counterweight is used to balance the rotors. In the stock flywheel, the counterweight is part of the flywheel itself. The aftermarket flywheels don't do this so that the same flywheel can be used on different engines (just have to swap the counterweight). The counterweight bolts to the center portion of the flywheel using 6 bolts, I believe. You can buy the couterweight new from RB, Mazdatrix, etc. or you can just get a used one off of an 84/85 automatic RX-7 (automatics use a flexplate and counterweight instead of a flywheel like the manuals use).

Yep, should bolt right up. You said that you had a 225mm clutch or is it 215mm? Just get the flywheel for whatever clutch you plan on using and get a counterweight out of an 84/85 auto and you should be set.

i have a 225mm but will need a 215mm. think i got one laying around from my 82.

Why do you need the 215mm? I was under the impression that you haven't got the new flywheel yet. If you haven't got the flywheel, why don't you get the 225mm one to go with the 225 mm clutch that you have (a bit more surface to grip)?
