Could my car be an RX-6????

Ok, here is the link to the other thread. I don't know of there ever being an RX-6, but thats what the insurance says. Give me some answers please. I already know that insurance companies are stupid, so you need not say that.

It could be argued the REPU is the RX-5 and the CD Cosmo is the RX-6, but then all the people down under wouldn't get their vegemite.

And its old enough that they would say it that way too. The RX7 was one of the first cars the Japanese used the American number on.

would japanese end on a hard consonant and begin another without a vowel inbetween? plus, the cosmos are the rx5's (although, keep in mind, the cosmos have absolutely no mazda badging if i remember correctly, nor mention of a rotary engine)... everyone else called the REPU a Courier! haha!

Im sorry, I forgot to put the link to the thread in the Canadian forum that I started. It includes some more info.

Here it is:
https://www.rx7club.com/showthread.p...57#post3091457

I have never heard of an RX-6. But my insurance company insists that its a different car than what they quoted me on in the first place. They didn't say it was an RX-6 though when I got my insurance. But it clearly says RX-6 on my insurance papers. I want to clear this up because I suspect thats why my insurance costs jumped up by almost $1000.

Insurance companies are idiots.

That's why I'm in the same price class as having a 2004 Porsche (Does everyone's insurance company have just one class for "sports cars"?)

I've never heard of an RX-6.

Looks like your insurance company is trying to screw you over. Check your title and see what it says on there. Anyway, if that is your car right there in that pic it's obviously and RX-7.

My insurance is supposed to go by engine size, but since the engine is different they don't go by size. Full coverage is $150 a month. (22 years old) Just liability is $50.

I am in canada, so don't talk about different insurance companies to me. They are different up here. But my "title" says RX-7. I will have to talk to the insurance company. Most of us in Ontario are getting screwed with insurance. I haven't found a quote for under $3700 a year.

I thought about that too. It would coincide with the increase. I would think that an MX-6 would be about $1000 more than an RX-7 around here.

Every car I've owned had the same rate... The 1985 Honda Civic 4wd wagon, the 1985 RX-7, the 1993 Honda Civic Sedan... The only thing that made it jump was the 1989 Mazda B2600 pickup truck...

I'm not sure what it matters...but 6 IS roku in Japanese...

Just look at Toyota Corolla's, AE86, Hachi-Roku, you get the jist.

But I've never heard of an RX-6, and I'm pretty sure they don't exist...

I know there was an RX-3, but RX-6? WTF?
