Finally!
I started working on my EFI conversion last night.

I`am quite sure that the stock 13B injection will flow more than enough for most 12A applications.

The GSLE`s TB is :Primary :1.57" Secondary 2x1.41 " if you require more, you can use the T2 Tb,and the airflow meter off a 280z,or similar 6 cylinder engine.

I`am busy working out my injector layout at the moment.

Hi!

Well, this will be a complete experiment.I`ll be using Vw`s variant of the Bosch L-jet injection system.

Its originally off a 2.1 Microbus flat 4 cylinder.I`ll be using the Nikki as a 4 barrel TB,with injectors welded in the 12A manifold.

The experiment isnt really for getting max hp,its rather :To see if my BP engine will start up 1st turn, when hot or cold

I`am sorry,i dont have access to the NA 13 stuff at all, thats why i`am using the 12A manifold and so on.

For refrence : The l-jet on all cars are allmost identical. The mapping and so on differ, but the big part of it is the same

i`ll keep you updated

it needs to be MAF tho RIGHT??

what all would you need to run this? what kind of computer would it take, ie mega squirt or GM?

could i use the 13b center housing with my 12a and somehow get a efi intake to mount and actually work (using a stand alone fuel system)

yes i understand it will prolly cost a arm two legs but oh well.

so anyone know? done this? tried?

thanks

Brad

why don't you just try getting a Racing Beat intake manifold and using either a fuel injection Holley carb body or a Weber fuel injection setup. It's the easiest way to go if you want EFI on a 12a.

Or you could do what I'm doing and make your own intake idea. Mine happens to be with motorcycle throttle bodies in a downdraft configuration. Oddly enough the most expensive parts of my set-up will be the megasquirt itself. The tuning will take time but I'm confident that in the end I'll have a very streetable set-up with very decent power and fuel-economy. I can't say mine will be the cheapest route, but it will be unique and very flexible.
