Corner Weights?

Okay, so I know you can adjust corner weights by using the adjustable height coilovers.

What are the stock weights like? I'd assume it's got more weight toward the Left side because thats where the fuel tank and battery are... Not to mention the driver. (At least in a LHD car.)

What is the benefit of adjusting the corner weights? So it won't lean in turns?

Do the corner weights change (Both relative to each other and relative to original) if you make the same change in suspension on both right and left? (IE: Upgrade from stock to Tokicos and Eibachs.)

How balalced is the car if you move the battery to the Passenger storage bin?

I just wanna know so I can decide whether to go for the adjustable coilover setup or just use stock strut tubes with Tokicos.

I got a new job. Waitin for the cash to start flowing again

you will need to purchase measuring equipment for it or take the car to a race alignment shop. good luck finding the stock corner weights as they will vary model to model and year to year. the battery in the passenger compartment is best for weight distribution but most that daily drive the cars wished they'd just used the driver's since the passenger bin is easier to access. you will, of course, adjust all of this with a "dummy bag" mimicking your weight in the driver's seat. however, when you get done your car will appear lopsided depending on how far of the corners are. if you really want good info, post in the racing section. chris and a bunch of other IT racers and what not will be able to help you far better.

Pele, thats a handful to answer but Ill try. Typically the LF is the heaviest. Moving the battery and any other weight to rebalance the car is good. The battery relocation is definately noticeable. The benefit is that is will handle equally well in both L and R turns. If you never noticed, is stock trim it rurns better to the left than to the right. You can corner weight with either coilivers (easier, but you still have no options fot the rear anyway), or you can use shims. Cornerweighting is just as it says. You lower one corner (LF) and that puts weight on the opposing spring (RF). Now you have to raise the LR spring so it balances back out and puts more pressure on the right front. Make sense? You cant actually move weight by cornerweighting. It a diagonal thing only. Heres prbably a better explanation then mine
