Replace the carb gasket and install freeze plugs. coolant flows through the intake.

Yep, its gonna be the intake manifold o rings leaking, not too bad of a job, couple hours and a lot of cleaning.

I have to suggest not going with the freeze plugs unless your building a "race" car. Theres a reason mazda runs coolant through the intake. Helps with fuel atomization, and cold starts. Your car will take alot longer to warm up and run correctly and get worse gas mileage. Just mu opinion though. I recently had to do this as well.

You would have to take off the intake and put a new gasket and new o rings on. The o rings go between the motor and intake.

I have freezeplugs on both my 12a's, and it doesn't affect it very much, it might take a little longer to warmup in the winter (and NJ winters get cold) but not much longer, then again the RB header radiates plenty of heat in that general area

i think you should use freeze plugs. i didnt and i wouldnt go back. now i can take the manifold off and not have to worry about spilling coolant everywhere. i DD mine and i didnt notice any loss in MPG or driveability with them.

The add coolant light comes on from the sensor thats on top of the radiator. If the level is good then the sensor is probably bad.
