coolant leak

what is the best way to find a coolant leak. i smell coolant whenever the car is run at high rpms. like interstate driving. and when i run it hard like racing smoke will come from under the hood. i have checked many places and can't find the leak it must be really small because the most i have found on the driveway was one drop. any suggestions? thanks
