Considering a first gen Rx 7

Been looking into buying a first gen. And have been trolling the forum for information on what to look out for and check. Been looking at a few until an '83 popped up.
It looks to be good but we all know looks are not everything.
I was in favour of buying it as it is already done up. It has a T2 engine swap, single turbo, 4 extra injector ( which are welded on but capped) and some other things done but has a crappy interior. Thing is, I am not sure what base model it is. Plus the dealer i am getting it from has a bit of a shady history ( going by word of mouth, not sure how true it is)

Another car that i am looking at is also a '83 stock is bone stock. Mucher better interior. And going for a cheaper price.

I need help on this. Not sure which one would be better for my needs. I would be using this as a DD with extra duties ( autocross and drifting )

Any opinions out there ?

Those FB's look awsome. I wish I was in Singapore right about now. I would jump on that turbo FB. You should be able to find interior pieces on this forum.

If the mechanicals are good and the car drives nice, check the usual rust spots and if the price seems ok, go for it, but test drive it hard first.....

Interior parts are everywhere, hell I've got two red interiors now....lol

Man I love right hand drives. I work for Freightliner LLC in North Carolina, and we build trucks that are going overseas. Like, Australia, Brazil, South Africa, and such. I always get a kick out of driving the right handers!!!!! Anyway, the red one looks pretty clean. Go for it!!!

How would your hard testing be ? Redline all the gears or just 3rd ? Leaning towards the FB cause it already has an engine swap.
