condensor (wont start) gsl se

i've got an 85 se and it wont start in the cold(wet). it has 1 volt to the coils. and the battery is fine. it is getting fuel. i am thinking that the ignition condensor, there's one connected to the 12v+ to the coils, is bad. also i couldn't find it, i only saw it in the wiring diagram. where would it be located

the condensor is the silver cylinder next to the distributor

When you are measuring voltage, are you measuring between coil (-) and coil (+)? Or are you measuring between ground (chassis) and each terminal (+) then (-)?

You should be measuring from the chassis. With the key turned to 'ON', each coil terminal should see about 12v.
