compression check?
how do I do a compression check on rotory motors. The manual said to take it to the dealer because you can't do it with conventional test equipment. Before reading that i did try and it didn't work. Thanks.
The rotary engine has three pulses that come though the same hole so the piston equipment will only read the highest of the three pulses. Try searching, there are multiple threads on this subject.
You gotta have a recording compression tester of some kind. One would think that a modern guy could build a nice tester with some kind of electric pressure sensor connected to a laptop or even palm pilot.
I have an old Motometer diesel tester that records on a little card, but don't have a 14mm adapter.
