I sent you a PM concerning the '91 TII Tranny that has less than 30k miles..

Did you get it ? I am sure that you should have it.

Just a little warning and FYI if your interested.

Watch out for over boosting in cooler weather. With just the K&N and cat. removal alone you could get up into the 11+ lb range. Not that the motor won't take it, but your gay VPC (mas air looking thingy by the filter) won't add the extra fuel you need to run more boost. So the car will lean out and detonate. And eventually blow.

Don't ruin an awesome setup because of neglect. Get your fuel setup and your home free. I found the piggy back fuel computers with 2 added injectors and a map sensor worked cheapest and best for me.

Something similar to this...

http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/HKS-A...spagenameZWDVW

You'll make alot more power and your engine will live twice as long. Or you can have the computer remapped, buy a stand alone ECM etc. But I found a piggy back system worked great.

Also buy a wide band 02 sensor and keep track of your lean and rich conditions if you haven't already. With just those minor things a clutch and some tires my good friend managed high 12 sec time slips in his TII. To bad it took blowing the first motor to figure things out.

Just trying to help thats an awesome setup! With just the above mentioned and stock turbo around 16ish lbs with FMIC you should his mid to low 12's minimum! (assuming tires and traction)

Congrats and good luck!

Thanks for the info!!! I will be putting it to use!!!

Like a dumb.... stupid..... dummy I ran my car at the tack last night... I have some videos of it i'll be posting... my best time was a 14.25 at 97mph... it was my first time running it was a blast!!!!! i was launching at about 2500 rpm's.... it was only boosting at 5 psi.... to much heat soak on the TMIC...

Those are awesome times for 5lbs! U shouldn't hurt anything at those boost levels. Wait till you crank up the boost!

Correction my best time was a 14.23.. at 97mph....

I was wanting to get into the 13's, I was really easy with the car while launching. I kept it under 3k on the start and shifted gears at about 6,500 to 7,000. I spun the tires alittle in 2nd and 3rd...

What RPM's would be good to launch the car?? It has K&N, no cat, with GSL-SE Racing Beat muffer, Everything else is stock S5 TII. And it was only boosting about 5 psi, i guess because it was so hot because of the TMIC?? It's normally around 8-9 psi

I have video's i'll be posting just have to upload them to my computer!

What were your 60' times?

I wouldn't bother launching hard.... It's just more wear and tear on parts. With the weight of that car you'll pull like a train up top. If you really want to pull some good 60' times sub in a rear end from the link below with some slicks.

http://members.tripod.com/~grannys/rx7.html

They have a complete 9" rear end fabbed perfectly for a first gen.

Other wise I'd just finish the FMIC, get your fuel sorted out, turn up the boost and be happy with the top end power... You'll make 13's no problem without launching hard.

Reaction time doesn't effect the ET. What is bad is your 60'. For every .10 you make up in your sixty it's 2 tenths at the end of the quarter. So if you hit a 1.8 60' you would have run a 13.83 at 97... A pair of mickey thompson drag radials and a good clutch and launch would net you a 1.8 60' no problem.

Other thing that is impressive is you gained 19mph on the second half of the track with only 5lbs of boost! Your really picking up on the top end because you are so light. With the boost turned up to 16ish lbs you should hit some mid to low 12 second range at 115+. Thats funk'n awesome!

A huge IC will take forever to fill up with that little turbo. Keep your parts matched and don't just throw the biggest crap HKS makes on it. I wouldn't even waste my money on an expensive front mount. If your leaving the stock turbo that intercooler is matched to the CFM output of the stock turbo. Just mount it up front and be done with it!

Nice times, nice car... Now do your fuel mods!
