Finally! I found it! All you 12A folks, if you are having an idle surge, check this hose...

Picture is from a spare Nikki-system that I swapped hoses with. Maybe it will help someone find their gremlin, too.

 

That is a common leak since the hose lives so close to the exhaust.

 

yeh that was the culprit to my idle problems too. now i just need to get the car running again.
