no problem, glad i was able to help,,,i'de also advise
when your able to get at the old bearing, before you
remove it,see where the area is that hung the bearing
up, so the new one won't fail in the same spot,,i know
the bearings sealed, but before you install the transmission put some grease on the in-put shaft
where the bearing moves along.and grease the pilot
bearing too.... how do you like the gearing of the TII
transmission

I'm not sure who your asking about th e TII tranny.....mine was fine...lot better top end than the 83 obviously.....but I do know my friends base 85 would pull his brothers 90gxl with exhaust kit on it...I know that's not alot, but hey 100hp vs "160hp" is pretty good
Mark, I'm gonna get this crap done and I'll let you know how it turns out, prob want have the time or $$$ until next week though....so until then if anybody else fixes theirs let me know......the only reason I say it's the bearing in mine is last night I took off the slave and tried to move the fork, it wouldn't budge!!! But hey the car has 180,000 miles on it and I only paid $200, so what do I care

I told you I would respond to the thread .

I have to agree with everyone here , start small and work your way up . Clutch probs are a bi*&h , but there are only so many things that can go wrong.

slave
master
hose(line)
throwout bearing
clutch
pressure plate
pilot bearing

first off have you seen pressure plate before? (not tring to be a dick) it has a bunch of metal teeth that flex whan the fork is actuated (a lot of resistance to move)
which in turn causes the tranny to stop turning so you may enter a gear(with help from the synchros)

the resistance from the pressure plate would cause it to be extremely difficult to actuate by hand

Just to save all the headache remove the master (but not the line coming out of it , the whole assembly can be removed at once) and test it

If it passes the test go buy a lot of fluid and cycle the old fluid out (after time condensation will get into the system and break down the fluid (water soluble) and it will lose it compressability) by bleeding and adding (just dont let the master go dry) and continue until the fluid coming out is fresh

If all of these dont work the tear the tranny out and change the clutch , pressure plate , throwout bearing , and the PILOT BEARING (most people overlook this tiny part but do it do it do it)

I hope that all of this helps just let me know if you have questions along the way

PEACE

i have no idea about napa clutche's,i will say that when
you do buy a new one,get it as a kit,,so all is in the box.
try to get a heavy duty , if it's an off brand.because the
HD is tougher then standards,,while i had my transmission out i also drained the fluid and put new fluid in it,,,while under the car look around for loose,
missing, broken, bolts, etc. there's a lot going on under
neath,,and i found some things that needed my attn.

food for thought ::
