OH Clutch Hydraulic hose old vs new

So....I get the new clutch hose and go to install with new MC and slave. The end that goes into the slave will not thread..the first thread or so then stops. It won't go into old or new slave...it wants to but..... Weird thing is it measures the same across the threads as the old one and the threads mesh perfectly with the old one??? They look identical. Guess I'll reinstall the old hose. Anyone else run across this? its a rock auto part....should I source somewhere else?

Maybe the end of the hose has a burr or deformation on the first thread? I know you said you compared them and they matched up, but SA's used a coarse pitch thread on most of its hydraulic fittings, including the clutch hose, while they went to a finer pitch on FB's.

Yeah....im a dumbass....I cleaned up the threads with a thread file and with a little pressure with the wrench it went in smoothly.....Next time I will investigate further and not waste you guys time. Thanks for the response though!!!

There are "no" dumb questions, I have "always" learned more from my mistakes than I have from getting it right the first time.
