Clearing my tail lights, got some questions..

I did look around in the search but I didn't get my answer. So I'll just start this. I'm clearing my tail lights and I was wondering what have you guys done with yours??? I just took off the front cover, popped out the tinted lenses and I curently have four silver/chrome bulbs that light up red coming in the mail from ebay for about $15. I'll get some chrome amber lights for the corners but for now I'm just using plain ambers in the corners. Now, for the back up lights........... I took out that tint too and I was just going to use the original bulbs. No tint or anything so when I'm backing up all you'll see is lights, not really white. What did you guys do about this???? I like the way the lights look right now, I'm sorry I can't put up any pictures. I took some but I can't put them up on the computer. I don't think you guys need pics anyhow.

Either put the white in, or leave it alone. You cannot really tint the light bulb itself unless white bulbs exist for auto appliances. And you will need the silver reflecting behind it, or you might as well not have reverse lights

Hope that helps!

I tinted mine, but I kept the red/orange/white parts in.

So you must have just tinted the inside of the outer cover, right???? And yes I'm keeping the reflectors in. I'm pretty sure I saw white bulbs for this purpose on ebay, I'll have to check that out again.

One exception: The "IoTuS" set is awesome, as long as the rest of the car matches (paint & body)

wow, that was quick! lol I'm painting my car white as we speak so I thought it would look odd to have the old style lights in there. So I thought this would look good with a white car............... I just didn't lke those red and amber lights. Hows selling the wheels going for ya?????

If you lightly smoke the outer lenses I think it would really make them look sweet. Post some installed and lighted pics LOL

How would you lightly smoke them, cause I'm getting a mental picture and it doesn't seem to help what I'm trying to do!!!! lol I'm still painting the car and I don't have the red bulbs yet so that could be a while before I get installed pics.

Also since I'm going with a lighter colored car I thought lighter rear lights would blend with the car best....... but I guess thats why I'm on here, for others imput!!!

Blending is nice but contrast is the key. Imagine the lights you have pictured but with just a light smoke to darken them only slightly. It actually would give them a nice richer color IMO Here's kind of an example pic. It's not the best pic but it should give you some idea

Those direct LED's suck so much *****. They look good under normal lighting but there is a very minimal difference in brightness between normal lighting and brake lighting. I tried them on my FC and put the stock bulbs back in
