Choke Removal

I am in the process of removing the choke from my Experimental Sterling (Long Story)

My question is how do I block off the holes that are left where the choke rod used to be?

What have yall used? Do I block them off from the outside, or inside?

I can post pics if needed

Discuss

I used JB Weld Kwick when I removed the shutter valve rod from the intake manifold. It worked pretty good.

I planned on using that.

Here is my idea. I think this will work well. But I dont wanna affect the air flow I know how important that is.

And if anybody has extra holley air bleeds that they didnt use with thier sterling carb, ill buy them off ya!

Well not bad but with JB weld it can be completely flush.

Check with IanS on air bleeds - I sent him a bunch of them so he should have extra ones but I don't know if he ever did dial in his sterling carb so as to know which ones he's keeping.

If you do it skillfully enough, and handle it appropriately while it's still not dry, you won't need to sand it afterwards.

Does give the carb a cleaner look, not that it matters with the air cleaner on. Nice work.

Well I could be like the PR guy in town and drive it with no filter, a modded 12a to 13b header straight pipe to a hollowed out muffler. lol

So I could show off my awesome skills! lol

Now once I get my Fuel Jet Kit I will have one bad Sterling Carb, and if I could ever get Carl to port my Manifold Id be set!
