Unhappy choke handle

ok, I know its been asked, but what is the most likely culprit of my choke handle not staying out on its own, i've heard the water temp sensor, What resistance should it have cold, I have a multimeter now and I really want this damn thing to start working, holding it out is getinig really old thanks all

I have the exact , EXACT same problem lol .. I've heard it's just a srtof electromgnet that you can find for cheap enough .. I never tried finding/fixing it though :P I just give it more gas for a couple of minutes :P

The switch is on the back of the water pump housing. Disconnect the plug and jumper the 2 harness wires together. That will activate the magnet full time. If your choke stays out then the switch is bad.

I had the same problem with my RX4. It turned out there was a little 2A inline fuse tucked up under the dash that was blown. I replaced the fuse and it worked perfectly. Not sure if RX7s have the same fuse, but I thought that it could be a possibility.

No but you can find it easy. Take off the air cleaner box. Look in between the carb and waterpump housing. You'll see the switch.
