Checking codes.
Hey,
I read a post somewhere about being able to check engine error codes even on 1st gens. THe FSM has their own special tool but I'm wondering if it can be done another way (grounding a diagnostic pin and reading instrument panel lights, eg.)
Thanks,
F-.

Yep it's pre-OBD but Mazda had a system checker 83' to detect sensor or wiring problem and give back a small set of error codes.
Generally these factory tools are just measuring voltage pulses, so I was wondering if there's a way to rig up something similar.
