Thumbs up Check This Out!!!

You may remember 2 of my other nightmares...

rear end problem

bin rust problem

Well...I've got the rear end issue fixed by buying someone's rear end in NYC...had it installed the next day and it was running perfect. I was going to have the bin rust issue fixed by taking it to the metal shop this morning...but then I noticed that I had a leak in my fuel tank!!! OH NO!!! So then I called a few places and one guy told me he was parting out a working 84 se because he can't get the price he wants if he sold it whole...

I asked him how much for the entire chassis? He started to tell me but then I though about it...all this car needs is my rear end and front suspension and we can swap evenly...he agree'd...

woohoo...so I may be getting a diff rex...differences are mine is black his is white, mine has a rebuilt engine that runs PERFECT and his is 90k that was unstuck by that trick i've read around here...

we are swapping rear ends and front suspension and maybe some interior peaces because mine is cleaner but thats it...he'll still have a parts car and i'll have a rust free rex!

My question is...should I swap engines since mine is a rebuild or stay with the unstuck engine of 90k...? which historically lasts longer?

Check your PMs, and to answer your question, I'd stay with the rebuilt engine, but who rebuilt it?

Keep the rebuilt engine... especially if you KNOW it's good. Who knows what's in the other engine!!!
