Check this if you have a GSLSE

While me and a friend where putting on his side-draft webber carb on his car today I noticed at the fuel pump a little screen in the inlet of the fuel pump. It was a cone shaped screen and it was very much clogged from 17 years of fuel Im sure with something like 31 psi pumping throw the pump it might not hurt it but the screen would function much better if it was clean.-rtyPWR

I checked mine today and it was filled with rust. If you guys check the screen it is the bigger of the two hoses on the fuel pump.-rtyPWR

Mine is also fuel injected. Locate the fuel pump in the back take down all the little shields the bigger shield has the pump hooked to it once you do that there are 2 hoses coming off the fuel pump a big one and little one. the little cone shaped filter is stuck in the big line when you pull it of you will see it clamp the hose or gas will keep coming out.-rtyPWR

i'll have to jack er up and check the screen.. thanks for the info.. got one more for ya... maybe 2.
firstly does your rotary idle smoothly? and 2nd. how hot is your exaust at the rear of the 7? I'm curious because I believe the idle mixture is outta whack, and one of the exhaust/emission valves could be stuck open, letting more fresh air into the cat conv. hense higher temp from secondary combustion.
let me know I'd really appreciate it..

I run the racing beat streetport exhaust so no problems with the cat or emission crap. Mine idles like a champ one main problem often over looked is the throttle body what happens is the butterfly shafts wear really bad thats one of many thing that can make them idle like crap. There is places that will boar them out but not worth the price or HP gain. But what you can do is use white lithium grease around the outside shafts where it enters the base of throttle body make sure if you do it the grease goes all the way around the shaft. Then check your T.P.S sensor just because.I wouldnt move the idle mixture but if you do make sure you mark where it was so if nothing happens just put it back.-rtyPWR
