Check Connector B-25

Hi!

Just went through the wiring diagram for the Sa-1984 with 12A Engine. There is a Check Connector in the Emission Control System near the alternator. Does anybody know what it is for?

I'm not sure (yet) but If I recall it right, is a connector to check (when you short the 2 connectorwires) if idle stays correct when the aico is switched on and is working to keep idle rev the same as when airco is switched off

By The Way:

SA-1984 makes no sense

SA = 1979-1980
FB = 1981-1985

-SE (as in GSL-SE) denotes a 13b with fuel injection '84 or '85.

Checked my Heynes - and I don't have a clue what it does, sorry.

nope

SA = 1979-1981
FB =1981-1985

BTW... I've looked, seems indeed for checking idle when airco is powered on

welll ehhh.... what about the rest of the world?

designation is taken from VIN number mostly. Sometimes also in Series of Mark

Series 1-3 is first gen (FB= serie 2-3, SA Series 1)
Mark 1-3 is first gen (FB= mark 2-3, SA Mark 1)

But most of the times people are refering to the cars as SA and FB
(SA with steel bumpers and FB with the rubber ones)
