Change in idle?

So I posted about a week ago some pic's of my leaking coolant hose and asked how to fix it. Thanks to the people that helped me, i swapped it out for a new one. I bought the hose from auto zone and just sized it up, i even left it little longer so it can have room to circulate properly. Now after the new hose my car idles at like 1,200 when before it was doing about 800-900 rpm why the change, It was just a coolant hose?

Here's the hose i changed. Now mind you the new hose is about 6 inches longer but i don't see how that would make a difference.

Throttle cable looks a little loose in the 3rd pic. Perhaps you moved something in the fast idle system on the throttle body. Did you change, remove/replace or adjust anything to renew the coolant hose?

I don't think its the cable.. I think it has to do something with that little white tube u see next to the hose. My guess is that i put a longer house so that senser is reading differently now. My guess is that, that peace reads how much anitfreeze is entering the intake manifold when i first turn on the car. Kinda like to warm the car up faster at start up. (Automatic Choke)

air bubble in the hose? that hose goes to the thermowax, which gives the car its fast idle in the morning, if there is an air bubble there, the thermowax never warms up and idle never drops.

I was wondering about the thermowax also, but it looks like it has pulled in, which is the warm state iirc. You may want to check the 85 FSM on testing the thermowax. If there's an air bubble, it may be as simple as loosening the thermowax till coolant runs out.
