Center console/Dash plate

Hi again, I was wondering what some of you do when you have a center dash/console that is trashed, what you would make it out of, metal, plastic, or a replacement. I want to put in an aftermarket cdplayer and I don't think this will do at all. BTW Like my nifty starter Position, Ok so I was bored. Thanks again for any help, Please post any pics also if you have fabricated a new piece, This probly has been covered already but I don't know what to call the damn thing.

Just get another one. They are on EBAY all the time. Might cost around $60 or so.

60 dollars for that little peice of plastic that has the switches, radio, and the heater panel. Rediculous. custom metal plate here I come. I'd rather it be stronger anyways. The stock plastic looks pretty weak for mounting my mp3 player.

they were only on 79 and 80 cars so they are a bit hard to find, And very hard to find in Perfect Shape.

Lots of people have gone the sheetmetal route, Looks like *** to me But what ever you want to do.
