Weber 45 throttle stuck - but finally running pretty decent...

Well I drove my car home today I used this jetting:

Idle: f8-55
Main fuel: 145
Air corrector: 155
E-tube: f-16

The car ran pretty decent but starved a bit for fuel in the high rpms, I have tried the larger idle jets but it just floods the car out and ends up fouling the plugs quickly... I also bumped up the main fuel jet to a 170 but it doesnt seem like it has more power but I don't want to burn out the engine from running too lean.

And like the throttle says the throttle stuck open at one point which is VERY bad as I see it, I guess you guys can't help me too much with this one but any ideas on where to look? Its probally because of the spring setup I have for the heavier throttle feel though huh?

Anyways the car is getting painted on tuesday and im pumped. I apologize that I have posted so many weber threads but I am getting so close to having it at a near streetable point and im stoked I didn't expect it to take about 6 months though lol...

I will probally post some pictures of how the throttle linkage and stuff is setup in hopes you guys can maybe suggest areas to look for why the throttle would be sticking.

Thanks guys!

if you can find springs about the right size, try using two of them

Ok well I found why my throttle was sticking, the level was catching on the manifold...

But I took the car for a drive now with the bigger fuel jet and the car seems to not have very much power at all... It seemed like the car had alot more power with the 145 fuel main jet, why on earth is my carb wanting to run so lean when all of you guys runing webers are running much much larger jetting?

well finally heres pictures, another update I tried the 155 air corrector with the 170 main, and f-7 e-tube only to find it to run very rich and fouling the plugs in the high rpms...

Tomorrow I guess ill try the f-7 e-tube with the 145 main and the 155 air corrector.. (this is all with the f8-55 idle jet)

And Ishould mention this is all on a stock port 12a...

its one from summitracing.com its just a pretty generic inline one, I cut the fuel line coming in though to keep the fuel going along the firewall and away from heat sources.. Also it prevented the hose from kinking at all.

This whole jetting bit sucks I still can't figure out how some of the weber 45 guys are running such large jets, If I run any larger jets then the ones I listed my plugs foul up. But at the same time it seems like it should have alot more power with the lean jetting.... GRRR

Well I dunno I know the one air fuel adjustment jet is screwed up on the bottom of it (thats why the rear rotor adjustment is screwed in further) But besides that I have had this carb competely apart, cleaned it all with brake fluid and did a rebuild...

Sigh the tuning of this carb sure has been a pain, im gonna have to order some larger air correction jets and fool around with them too in hopes to cure the lack of power I am experiencing over 5000 rpms. This is the only thing I can think of to help jetting wise at this point... Hopefully I have good luck with this, Like I said over and over again I don't know how you guys could possibly run 2 sizes higher of a idle jet without flooding out in 2 seconds flat...

Maybe your timing is off, your plug wires bad, or you might have a dieing, weak coil that's not recharging fully between sparks.

well im pretty sure my timing is bang on because I reset it to the 9 o'clock position on the front pulley and used a timing light to fine tune it back to stock. The plug wires have like 1000 kms on them (NGK). The spark plugs were replaced last week (although fouled once then cleaned...) and the coils have been replaced recently as well (MSD Blaster 2 coils.)
