carter fuel pump not working

Hey i just bought a carter fuel pump. I followed the https://www.rx7club.com/1st-gen-arch...ey-fpr-529605/

thread and im getting no fuel out of the fuel lines. I have a 1/4 tank of gas. I turn the key to the on position and the pump hums and the fuel filter looks like its more than 3/4 empty. Is there anything im missing? the car was also running before i installed this pump. I also deleted the fuel check cut valve. any suggestions would be helpful thanks!

Maybe the input hose is on the vent line on the tank instead of the pickup line? I bet its something simple.

Recheck your work and verify everything. You could disconnect the line at the filter and try top suck some gas out and see if you get some. Of course be careful you don't swallow a bunch of fuel

Its a DC motor, it will still work, but backwords, hence why you heard it hum, except it was pushing fuel the wrong way
