My main concern is that people can look in and easily see the LCD screen, AND that it indicates a high dollar item. I think it's the biggest challenge in this install and look forward to seeing how you handle it.

I should add, the cables are a PITA if you don't connect them to the monitor before installing it in the dash. One of the monitor cables is very short, and you have to line up a thick 10 pin connector that has a thick screw-together flange.
Once the monitor surround trim was glued to the stock console waterfall, the fit is so tight the waterfall doesn't want to come out again. I was able to unsnap the monitor (by knowing exactly where to push through the back, and with dash bits taken out on the driver's side for access - and knowing exactly where to stick shims to unhook the clips that hold the monitor in) and, with some struggling, hooked up the short-cable connector. anyone attempting to steal the screen would have a long fight just getting it out of the dash, then would have to cut the cables - the repair of which would cost more than the monitor itself.
