Carburetor Problems

i did a search but nothing came up - i just installed a professionally rebuilt carburetor on my 12A FB and i can get the car to start and idle while cold, it spits a little bit like its a hair rich. when the car warms up and the choke slides in, the car stalls out unless i keep my foot on the throttle. could this be a mixture problem, an idle problem or both? how do you adjust either on this car? also, the pedal feels a little off when i pump the throttle, like sluggish. i am wondering if i have the throttle cable on the wrong actuator (the one for the cruise control VS the right one, etc.)

any help at all on this matter is much appreciated!

Probably a vacuum leak. First eliminate that possibility. Then look in the FAQ for Sterling's write-up on how to adjust idle and mixture. If that does not improve matters, also check timing. Retarded timing will give you that kinda trouble. Oh and looking from the front of the car, the actuator further to the right is where the throtle cable is suppsed to go.
