If you just want a bigger carb the 48/51 IDA weber has much higher delivery capacity, you are obviously maxing your current carb the Weber will flow a lot more gas than the Mikuni can.

I have had stock and mild ports with Mikuni and love the carb but my 13b BP had to use a Weber 48 to get enough gas.

The IDA does the best job @ dumping fuel. Great carb. But the 1/2 BP still has lots of overlap @ lowrpms, exhaust-gas dilution and that will always limit the low end. IDA will make the mid to top end scooooooooot.

I've run a weber down draft and I love it... When my 12a comes out my down drafts will go on the shelf for future use!!! I will never part ways with them!!!

well, after my experience, dont waste money on holley, peices of ****.

baseplate broke, bought a new one, new base plate leaked from throttle shaft, long story shot, im on my 4th baseplate, still has the same problem, except now, mysteriously the needle and seat got jacked up.

im about to sell my 7 due to this and start over with another one.

thanks holley, for making utter peices of ****.

i guess all the successfully running holley setups are fictional hell i run boost thru mine.

but anywho, a holley truly wouldn't be good in this situation. you need ultimate top end power. IDA FTW!
