Exclamation Carburator Issues!

Ok i swapped a '85 carby to my 1980 intake manifold for a little more HP. Anyways i have all the emissions stripped out and vac lines are pluged but when i turn my fuel pump on my carb just fill with gas with the throttle cable not even attached??? I dont get it like is there a VAC line that isnt hooked up right or what...anyways let me know what you think.

You mean the float bowls fill or the primaries and secondaries fill? If the float bowl fills then it's doing what it's supposed to do. If the latter, then there is a problem with the carb itself.

Yeah, vacuum lines shouldnt matter if the engine isnt even running. I would say to check your floats and make sure theyre not stuck.

Sounds like a sticking float. wrack it with a rubber mallet. Also, make sure you connected the return line and didn't cap it off.
