They're expensive, and few and far between...

However, the one 13beef has seems to be damn nice I can't remember where that thread is though... Hmm... I guess I'll have to search. Maybe later.

Anyhow, there are hoods, but you're looking something to the tune of $650USD plus shipping from Cali if I remember correctly.

They don't save all *that* much weight over the stock one, we have an amazingly light hood compared to many other cars. And since the look of carbon fibre for me is "meh, take it or leave it", the $650USD isn't worth it for me. What *makes* it worth it is that you can get them as a vented hood design, which allows some of the hot air to escape, lowering under-hood temps.

If I had money, I'd be all over it.

I'm pretty sure the thread is in the 1st Gen "Parts for sale/ wanted" section

Beefs hoods are in the $500 dollar range not 650.

Ah. I hadn't checked in much since the threads were being made in Australia. I knew they got the mould or whatever to Cali, but hadn't checked recent pricing.

At least I was close.

Lookie what I found:

https://www.rx7club.com/showthread.p...5&page=1&pp=15

Geez, at that price, it's almost in the "affordable" range I'm *sooooo* tempted.

$435 for hood + $165 for shipping + $40 for packaging = $640USD

^^^Shipping cost includes the packaging charge so it's not an extra $40 on top of the $165
