It is not about caring, it is about sharing info with a group of people that have similar experiences, to try and fill in the blanks that every one has. Like you said before, you dont run stock ports, so info from me and who ever had stock port info shouldnt be quieted, it should be investigated and understood. Not just hear say?

peace out, rotor gods, whom think I must bow to . . .

600 cfm on a stock port 12A even with headers will get beat off the line by everything on the street and it's the starting line where most street races are won...it will also be pretty crappy in the low end due to inadequate signal strength at the booster, so for a street car, that's just too damn big, mister!!..

everything on the street, huh?

It would kill any stock/lightly moded v8 out there and the only way a 4banger can touch it is with a turbo/super charger or nos . . . unless it was a heavily moded all engine beast

been done many times over

dont put your eye out jerking yourself off so hard . . .

og, HA, HA, HA, Ha, Ha, Ha, ha, ha, ha ! ! !

IG more like it, Intergeek Gangsta . . .

I know a stock port with ANY type of carb is slow in my book, Im just letting who the hell ever that started this thread know that a 600 is NOT too big for a stock port. Playing with stock ports is a waste of time, regardless!

For someone who is 31 yrs old and owns a shirt business, as stated in your personal ****, you're personality stinks. In addition, you cant get respect especially if you will continue to insist that what you got is the ****. Yes, it will run but big carb doesnt mean it will work well. Thats the same reason why I stepped down to a 48 IDA, from a 51 IDA, in my 13-B streetport. So why insists. And no, I dont need anyone to salute me or anything as Im still learning. Life is a never ending learning process.

Are you acting a bad-*** as you got beat-up too many times in your hood and now its time to prove that your not a punk-***? So who is the internet gangster now?

Me? Nope...Been there (the real thing). Done that. I'm retired.

Peace out holmes. Enough of this ****.

I never said it was THE set up. Just that it runs good and is the cheapest carb set up that will give you much more power than stock . . .

Not with a stock port unless you're running 12 inch rims to multiply the gear ratios...9.25 1/8th will get smoked by any stock musclecar unless it's on factory stock bias ply tires from 1968...sad but true...600cfm is too much for a stock port...I've yet to see any concrete proof otherwise...simply saying it's not too much without proof is like saying there were WMD in Iraq...we got too many liars in this country as it is...

Holy chocolate-covered Christ on a stick!

I neglect to stick my head into this thread for a few days and this **** happens.

813KR$ - We got the message. We know what times you have run in the 1/8th mile, and we know what carb you're running. Good for you. That doesn't give you the right to act like an ***, throwing it in everyone's face like it's the be-all and end-all of setups and that it will work that way for everyone. Have *you* run a Holley 465? You aren't the only one who would love to see a side-by-side apples-to-apples comparison of a properly tuned 465 vs. a properly tuned 600, but it's not going to be found here now.

This thread has degraded to finger-pointing, name calling and a whole lot of speculation. If I wasn't so damned busy I'd do a search myself to try and find threads with testimonials saying the 600 is too big, but I don't have the time or the patience to straighten this **** out right now.

I've closed this thread to end this BS. 813KR$, I realize you might have been trying to actively contribute to the conversation at first, but your attitude needs to be watched. If you have questions you can PM me. I'll be watching you, if you keep your nose clean from here on in, I'll forget this thread ever happened. I'm watching you. Be nice to our experienced members, and find a more constructive way to give your input than just posting blank stats three times then getting pissed off at people ignoring you.

I apologize to everyone for not stepping in sooner,
Jon
