Carb Questions

Hey guys, I have an 83 GSL, and I dont know how to adjust the carb. In the haynes book, it says the two adjustment screws are right on top of each other. Mine isn't like that. The only screw there is the idle speed adjustment. Where is the Idle mixture screw? What else do I need to do to adjust the Carb? Thanks, Brad

The screw you are seeing is the mixture screw. The idle screw is to the right and back behind a bunch of stuff. If you have your rats nest (vacuum thingy on top of engine - runs emissions) then you are going to have a tough time seeing it.

You can try to static time it, but if you're new to this sort of thing, I wouldn't recommend it (I've gotten it to within a degree or two myself, but uh um, I'm really into the ignition side of the rotary).
