Do a search in this forum for holley ( not holly :-) and you should see lots of info that should answer most of your questions. Welcome to the forums.

 

You won't gain the full benefits of running an aftermarket carb on the 12a with the stock exhaust and/or intake.

And most people that don't get the RB setups forget to look into another airbox. An open airbox will increase airflow much more too.

No point in doing an aftermarket carb, without doing headers first. Free flowing exhaust will net the biggest hp gain, carb only will net very little and will adversely affect driveability more than keeping the stock Nikki.
