Question Carb Jetting??

Can a guy change the stock carb jetting to get a little more out of the stock motor without too much trouble?

Jets for the stock Nikki carb are a bugger to find, and the gains are minimal, especially if you still have all the emissions equipment and auto-adjusting things attached.

The good news is that there are guys here on the forum who can take that carb and help you bring it to life. Among other things, they swap out the fuel jets and air bleeds for easier-to-find-and-buy Holley air bleeds. They remove much of the craptacular emissions and auto-adjustment crap so that the carburetor can be fine-tuned for more power. And they make countless modifications which I can't even begin to remember or understand to help increase flow over stock.

The result? An infinitely more tunable, amazingly more powerful version of what Mazda gave us, and for cheaper than an aftermarket carb in most cases.

Rx7Carl or Sterling. They work together, PM one of them and get some more info for yourself.
