Jets don't wear out.
Needles do and gaskets do and diaphragms do, but jets get blocked with ****. Rarely.

Describe your symptoms.

.

basically my car wont start, or if it does it runs like **** and then stalls,
it's got compression and spark and i just changed the fuel pump so that's fine
im thinking it must be the carb cause everything else seems to be working.
it seems to be flooding really easily even after it's running, if you give it a little gas it just chokes it and then dies.
what do you think?

thanks.

Well my suggestion is to look at Pele's no start thread. Go thru and try to isolate the problem. Make sure the carb isint flooding.

I totally fucked up my carb. I took it apart and now I can't put it back together again. No matter what I do, the thing keeps on flooding. It idle's correctly, but if i try to ref it, it flood's. It's a 80 model RX7 with a nikki 4 barrel downdraft carb. Could somebody pls help a idiot in need, or send me a 123 idiot's guide how to put my carb back together again. Plz help!!!

Sometimes we just need to break down & purchase an instruction manual. Either a Mazda at about $50 or a Haynes for cheaper. Try E-bay or a used book store.

Have Fun

it was just a universal fuel pump from lordco. 2-3 psi or whatever it is
what are the best carb rebuild kits out there and how much do they cost roughly?
