Carb Idling Super High

So I was getting ready to put the turbo parts on my Rx7 becuase I got a daily driver. A 1994 SHO, well that died and after a boost prepped nikki on my car which I was able to get running a little bit I had to switch back to the stock setup becuase my daily driver went bye bye.

When I put the stock carb and intake back on. it was really hard to start and once I got it started it just revved all the way up until I turned it off.

I'm really confused/frustrated and cant get this thing running right.

Im not sure what I would need to adjust becuase it was idling at over 5000. And the idle screw was all the way out.

Anyone have any advice

Provided that the accelerator cable is not too tight, check the linkage area as something is binding.

The throttle cable is very loose. I'll have to check the linkage when I get off of work. It doesnt look like anything is stuck open though.

Is there a specific part of the linkage i should be looking at?
