Carb hesitant?

So do our cars have fluid transitions from single to the secondaries opening up? basically, when i go from barely pushing the gas to flooring, it does not feel like the secondaries are opening, or they are and its really smooth? it feels like i make the same power through the whole RPM range and not 1hp more... or maybe its because its rotary?

Secondaries are vacuum operated, if you mash the go pedal, they won't open until there is enough vacuum to pull them open. Not at all like the old V8 4-barrels.
