carb fittings with photos.. a few questions

I bought this car with the carb needing work and parts off of it already. I think the previous owner was removing the rats nest and unimportant parts himself and then the car sat for a couple years. When I bought the car, the carb was all gummed up and had trash in the float bowls as well as clogged passages and all.

At any rate, I have some photos with questions what to block off and what to put where. I have read the rats nest removal guide, but all except 1 picture were very very hard to see or understand or had stuff in the way of what I wanted to view.

If you cannot see the photo, go here: http://us.f1.yahoofs.com/users/97e99...Uvil.AvguHhCQ0

Here are my thoughts.

I imagine the fittings in the red circles fit together with some basic vacuum hose since they end close to the fitting. Judging from other pics on the web, that looks correct.

1-6 block off. Maybe use one or two for AC and brake booster vacuum?

7. Connect to ?

8. Carb breather or Anti after burn connector?

9. Fuel return

10. Fuel delivery.

block 1-6

block the two red circles and the ports on the other end of the hoses that go into the red circles.

block 7. it's the shutter valve vaccum diaphragm.

8. float bowl vent. i'd try running a hose from it into the air filter. or block it.

9. fuel return line. use it

10. fuel inlet line. need it.

Thank You!. I plan on running my AC and brake booster though, so where would I plug those in to? I also need to plumb my oil line breather into something.

Thanks again!

AC gets a solenoid that's in the rats nest. it's on the right hand side of the nest. don't remember which port on the manifold it plugs into, you'll be best of going to junkyard and plulling parts and make a diagram from there. that solenoid bumps up the idle speed when the AC is turned on. The AC compressor puts a load on the e-shaft pulley, reducing idle rpms. solenoid bumps rpms back up to normal.

brake booster goes to intake manifold, facing the firewall.
oil line breather there are 2 of them. one on the intermediate housing itself, other on the oil fill tube. Cap one, put a little K&N breather filter on the other.
